Why Pick Rising Dragon for Tattoos in Manhattan NY

Rising Dragon has called the border of Chelsea and the West Village its home since 1992. Here are a few things that set us apart:

  • Built by Founder Darren Rosa: Rising Dragon was founded by Darren Rosa, a New York native born and raised in Washington Heights, whose biggest artistic passion is Japanese tattooing.
  • Japanese Tattoo Art: Our artists create Japanese-style tattoos such as dragons, koi, chrysanthemums, cherry blossoms, and full sleeves. In Japanese tattooing, every element becomes part of a bigger picture.
  • Seasoned Artists: The artists at Rising Dragon have more than a century of combined experience, and most have been tattooing for more than a decade.
  • Hand-Drawn Custom Designs: Each custom piece is drawn by hand, and our artists help with layout, placement, sizing, and design flow so your tattoo looks balanced where you want it.
  • A Private, Second-Floor Studio: Our studio sits in a second-floor space on 14th Street, off the street-shop rush, so you get private, tailored service rather than an assembly-line visit.
  • Cover-Up Tattoos: Got a tattoo you’re not happy with? We also do cover-up tattoos to turn it into something new.
  • Open Every Day: Our studio is open seven days a week with evening hours, making it easy to fit a session into your schedule.

Questions concerning what kind of pain you can expect are what we get often as a tattoo shop in NYC. Our artists don’t simply perform amazing work but additionally work hard to ensure the experience you have is incredibly comfortable. There are also things you’re capable of doing to prepare your body, including:

  • Drinking a lot of water
  • Staying away from blood thinners and alcohol
  • Having a good meal
  • Wearing comfortable clothing
  • Getting a good night’s sleep

With these steps, your tattoo is going to be a much easier experience. In the majority of cases there’s some degree of pain, but to make up for it the body releases endorphins. Different body parts additionally have different ability to tolerate pain. Generally areas where you’ve got more muscle are subject to less pain since they can absorb a needle better. This is the reason arms and legs are great choices if this is the first tattoo you’re getting. Our artists are here to answer all your questions and address your concerns. This is one more reason Rising Dragon is the only choice you’ll require for the best tattoo artist in NYC.
