Reasons to Choose Rising Dragon for Your Next Tattoo in Manhattan NY

Since 1992, Rising Dragon has been tattooing in the Chelsea and West Village area. Here’s what sets us apart:

  • Built by Founder Darren Rosa: Rising Dragon was founded by Darren Rosa, a native New Yorker who grew up in Washington Heights, whose greatest artistic passion is Japanese tattooing.
  • Japanese Tattoo Expertise: We create Japanese-style tattoos including dragons, koi, chrysanthemums, cherry blossoms, and full sleeves. In Japanese tattooing, each image becomes part of a bigger picture.
  • Seasoned Artists: Our artists at Rising Dragon bring more than a century of combined experience, and most have been tattooing for more than a decade.
  • Custom Artwork Drawn by Hand: Every custom design is drawn by hand, and we can help you work out layout, placement, sizing, and how the design flows so your tattoo looks balanced on your body.
  • A Quiet, Laid-Back Space: Our studio is located on the second floor on West 14th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, off the busy street level, so you get a more private experience rather than an assembly-line visit.
  • Cover-Up Tattoos: Got an old tattoo you’ve outgrown? We also do cover-up tattoos that turn it into a fresh piece of art.
  • Open Seven Days a Week: We’re open seven days a week until 9 PM or later, making it easy to fit a session into your schedule.

Best Tattoos NYC

As the best tattoo artist in New York NY, one of the most common questions we get from customers is how much pain to expect with a tattoo. Making certain that your experience is as comfortable as possible is what our artists are dedicated to. These are some of the things you can do to prepare your body:

  • Having a good meal
  • Getting a good night’s sleep
  • Keep hydrated
  • Wearing comfortable clothing
  • Keeping away from blood-thinning medications and alcohol

Following these steps is capable of leading to a much easier experience when it comes to getting your tattoo. In the majority of cases there’s some degree of pain. However, your body works to make up for it by releasing endorphins. Different body parts additionally have different ability to tolerate pain. Less pain is typically experienced in areas where you’ve got more muscle. This is because they have a better ability to absorb a needle. This is why arms and legs are perfect options if this is your first time getting a tattoo. Our artists are capable of answering all your questions and addressing your concerns. The only choice you will need for the best tattoo artist in New York NY is Rising Dragon because of this.
