Since 1992, our studio has been creating custom tattoos in the Chelsea and West Village area. Here’s what sets us apart:

  • Founded by Darren Rosa: Our studio was started by Darren Rosa, a native New Yorker born and raised in Washington Heights, whose biggest artistic passion is Japanese tattooing.
  • Japanese Tattoo Art: Our artists create Japanese-style tattoos such as dragons, koi, hannya masks, cherry blossoms, and full sleeves. In Japanese tattooing, each image becomes part of a bigger picture.
  • Over a Century of Combined Experience: Our team of artists bring over 100 years of combined experience, and most have been tattooing for more than a decade.
  • Original Hand-Drawn Tattoos: Each custom piece is drawn by hand, and we can help you work out layout, placement, sizing, and design flow so your tattoo looks balanced where you want it.
  • A Quiet, Laid-Back Space: Our studio sits in a second-floor space on 14th Street, away from the street-shop rush, so you get a more private experience rather than an assembly-line visit.
  • Cover-Ups for Old Tattoos: Have a tattoo you’re not happy with? We also do cover-up tattoos to turn it into something new.
  • Open Every Day: We’re open every day of the week until 9 PM or later, making it easy to fit a session into your schedule.
