DON’T USE NUMBING CREAM ON YOUR TATTOO!

My opinion isn’t going to be a popular one, especially with tattoo first-timers that have been holding off for years in fear of the pain.

But I’m here to tell you: Ask any Tattoo-Artist who’s earned their chops, numbing creams effect the quality and feel of the skin under his/her needle.

Why? Most all effective numbing creams have blood vessel constricters. Dilated blood vessels impinge on nerves, adding significantly to the pain.

The other main reason in my opinion, is that getting a tattoo is like a contest of bravery and fortitude.

Bearing the pain is why you wear a badge of honor when you’re done! It’s the reason people are so impressed when you get a large tattoo.

Forget this weird trend of wealthy celebrities and professional athletes going under anesthesia for big-work-tattoos. In the end, what did they achieve?

In my opinion, a whole lot of nothing! Yeah, beautiful tattoos, but not earned on the battlefield. It’s like asking your doctor to give you a scar, and then claiming you got it in a bullfight!

My words, my opinion. See you on the battlefield! – Darren
